First Entry!

The goal of this blog is to serve as a "repertoire" of teaching strategies that work. That way, years from now I can look back on strategies I use as a teacher now. I also want to document which strategies I use frequently.

Here's how it works:

-Posts describe the activity in steps that other teachers can easily replicate

*If you are cross-posting a strategy from another blog or link, please post the link.

*Also I will try to give credit where credit is due and cite the person I learned this

strategy from.

-"Tags" describe what kind of teaching activity it is and ways it can be used. Example: review, differentiation, whole class, small groups, get them moving, quiet, etc. Multiple tags can obviously be used at the same time.

-Should I specify skill instruction? Certain strategies are obviously more helpful for certain skill/process lessons. Should that be a tag or in the body of a post? Hmm...
